Yes, I know I look like a politician (or aspiring political candidate) but it was high time I had my long ebony locks cut off and started looking like a decent member of society.

That and a hundred bucks will get you a mocha frap at our local Starbucks.

It's the new year.

What resolutions did I make? Just one. Get in shape. Lose at least 5 lbs. a month so that means 60 lbs. at the end of the year. One hard task, since it's the middle of January and I still haven't made in progress.

Well actually I did. I got a bad case of food poisoning last Monday, puked my guts out. Lost 6 lbs. but it is hard to maintain what I lost. My appetite's back, so I have to do some things to balance out what I lost.

Like eating less. Using the stationary bicycle more. Eating healthier. Things like that.

I've always wanted to go back to the gym but I really can't seem to find the drive to be consistent with the gym. Truth be told I enjoyed the last gym I went to, despite the fact that the first time I went there I f*cking puked my guts out.

When I learned to pace myself I eventually enjoyed working out. It was nice getting sweaty two to three times a week.

So why'd I stop? Video games. Up to now I still choose video games over any other option, if I am alone. Even when I get home late from work and I know that it would be better to sleep and get more rest, I still have to play video games (to supposedly relieve stress - but I think that's just a BS excuse for me to play).

Anyway it's the new year. I still play video games. But I am sort of driven to losing weight.

And I had a haircut. My 1st year college haircut, in fact. Plus new frames for my glasses. I do look dashing, if I may say so myself. Just gotta lose a pound or thirty.

Oh and prayers for the grandmother of my girlfriend, Maica. She's suffering in the hospital of some God-knows-what reason and the doctors can't seem to find out what. They need Dr. House.

Out.
